OUR TEACHING METHOD
Every lesson at Ms Tabby's follows a four-step framework designed to ignite a genuine love for mathematical logic and conceptual clarity. Developed by our founder with over 19 years of classroom experience.
Logic — Every lesson begins with conceptual understanding. We use bar models, visual tools, and concrete examples so your child understands WHY a method works.
In practice: Before teaching any procedure, we ask: Does this make sense to you?
Equation — Once the logic is understood, students learn to express it mathematically. We build the equation fluency needed to tackle complex P5 problems and P6 algebraic expressions.
Application — Scaffolded practice moves from guided to independent. Carefully sequenced questions that increase in difficulty.
Patterns — The highest level of mathematical thinking: recognising the beautiful connections across different topics. We build the intuition that makes high-level problem solving feel like a natural progression.
