Common concerns parents have about the Primary 2 Math expansion year.

In Primary 2, the math syllabus expands dramatically. Numbers increase from 100 to 1,000, 2-step word problems are introduced for the first time, and abstract concepts like fractions and multiplication/division fluency are demanded. This "expansion year" requires a shift from rote memory to conceptual understanding.

We use our proprietary Build-Master-Score method. We start by ensuring P1 foundations are solid, then we use concrete manipulatives to visualize the two steps of a problem. This helps P2 students move beyond simple calculation into strategic planning and logical sequencing.
